We were very happy to see so many new and old faces at the first training day of the year.
Chip Bonde led socialization and heeling exercises. As highlighted at the training day, the importance of heeling should not be underestimated, both because it features throughout the UT and Invitational tests, but also because it is a great way to put some control on your dog.
Drew and Todd ran a brace demonstration. This is still one of my favorite things to watch! Seeing the finished article is always the best incentive to keep working on training your own dog.
We also helped some new members with their dogs in the field and look forward to seeing them progress.
